What is it like to Coach with me? Check out the Principles of Phoenix Coaching.

Updated: Feb 17, 2021

People often shy away from the word therapy and coaching. We don’t always want to admit that we need to make changes, or that we need to have help to make them.

Asking for coaching support can feel as though we are not enough, that we are lacking if we are unable to resolve it without help.

It can be a daunting step to take when we don’t know what to expect, especially when we are used to just dealing with things alone and in silence.

When you are the one that everyone comes to for help and advice it can be hard to accept that you may need someone to be that person for you.

For this reason, I ensure that I provide that safe space for you. It can be hard to open up and talk about the areas that you don’t feel good enough, or capable enough, or that feeling that you are not reaching your full potential or caught in a cycle of decisions that are taking you away from becoming the person you want to be.

For this reason, I assure you that I will be supportive and non-judgemental.

It can be difficult when you know what needs to change, you know that it is possible, and yet some things just feel impossible to change on your own.

For this reason, I will challenge the way you think about the decisions you have made and the story you tell yourself. I will help you to see alternative behaviours and potential outcomes of doing things in a different way. I understand that all of this will be serious, at times it will be emotional, both frustrating and liberating.

For this reason, I will coach with humour and together we will seek and find the positives, and we will see hope in the future.
